Every once in a while there is a story that just breaks your heart. Rasha's story is like that, but with a good amount of anger mixed in.

Rasha was a Boxers and Buddies dog. She was adopted in 2007 into a loving family with two other dogs, a poodle and another mix and a cat. She loved her home and did wonderfully. She went throught obedience school and even got to go on hikes and to the dog park. Her pet parent was unable to provide a stable home for Rasha and was forced to return her to rescue.

This was just another blow in a long long of disapointments for Rasha. You see, Rasha came to Boxers and Buddies the first time after being abandoned in a parking lot with a note attached to her collar. The note read:

"Tazz" was born 11-05-06. She is a very sweet puppy. Loves to run and swim she loves other dogs. She can sit but still tends to jump on people. Never bites and rarely barks.

I bought her as a "full breed lab" what a joke. I think 1/2 lab and 1/2 retrevor. The vet thinks so also. She has all her shots and a shot for rattlesnake bites. I love Tazz and she loves me she smiles all the time. I lost my home in forclosure and can't keep her. My sister is dropping her off because I can't do it. SPCA will charge $80.00 and I can't afford dog food much less that. Please give her a good home with space to run. She comes with a whistle or her name.

We don't know if we should be sad for her former owner or angry that they "loved" their dog so much they let it run loose in a busy parking lot with a shoestring and note around her neck.

Rasha deserves love. She deserves a stable home where she can count on the people that care for her. She doesn't deserve to be bounced from home to home, person to person, not knowing where she will wake up next.

Please help us give Rasha what she deserves. It's so much more then life has given her.
